Aneet Padda’s Metallic Purple Corset at Lakmé Fashion Week: The Colour-Shifting Polymer Bodice, Balloon Sleeves and Wide-Leg Trousers That Closed the Runway

Aneet Padda walked the Lakmé Fashion Week finale as showstopper for Amit Aggarwal’s AM collection in a violet-toned ensemble built around a sculpted metallic corset. The bodice carries his signature polymer detailing that shifts between deep purple, electric blue and emerald green under the lights. Swirling ribbed panels cinch the midsection. She layers an oversized white-and-purple striped shirt with voluminous balloon sleeves over it, left open at the neck. Wide-leg purple satin trousers with sharp pleats complete the look. Green strappy heels pick up the iridescent flash in the corset.

The collection explores the shift from 9-to-5 structure to after-hours freedom. Aneet’s look is the one that moves between both. The corset holds the body. The oversized shirt and the fluid trousers do the rest.

The Colour-Shifting Corset

The metallic corset is the piece that defines the frame. It follows the waist with a clean sculpted line and moulded cups. The polymer surface catches light and changes colour as she turns. She does not pull the open shirt closed or adjust the corset while she walks. The confidence is in the way the structured midsection and the open neckline sit on the same body at once.

In the stills the balloon sleeves flare at the wrists. The satin trousers move with her stride. The colour shift on the corset stays visible even in motion.

Why the Frame Holds

Gen Z runway looks are often oversized or covered. This one is not. The metallic corset, the open striped neckline and the wide-leg volume all remain in the frame together. She wears the structure as if it were already decided. The polymer does the surface work. The body inside the corset is the part the stills keep returning to.
