Radhika Madan is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films, television and web series. Born on 1 May 1995 in Delhi, she moved from a long-running Colors TV soap to a film debut with Vishal Bhardwaj and has since been cast in romance, action, crime and OTT drama. She won the Screen Award for Best Female Debut for Pataakha and a Filmfare OTT Award for Ray. Forbes India placed her on the 30 Under 30 list in 2024.

Early Life and Education

Madan was born in Delhi and schooled at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. She completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. Before acting full time she taught dance in Delhi. Public profiles also link her early years to Pitampura. She turned vegan in 2023 and has appeared in a PETA India campaign. She endorses consumer brands including Glow & Lovely and Lay’s.

Television Breakthrough

Her first major role was Ishani in Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi (2014–2016) on Colors TV, opposite Shakti Arora. The soap ran for about a year and a half and made her a daily-serial face. In 2015 she won a Gold Award for debut in a lead role and an Indian Television Academy Award for best newcomer. The same year she competed on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and finished 14th. In 2017 she appeared with Arora in the Indonesian series Cinta di Pangkuan Himalaya as Sarah.

Film Career

Pataakha (2018) was her Hindi film debut. She played Champa Kumari, called Badki, opposite Sanya Malhotra, in Vishal Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Charan Singh Pathik’s story about two Rajasthani sisters who fight as often as they share a house. The performance won her the Screen Award for most promising newcomer and brought Filmfare nominations for best female debut and best actress (critics). Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (2019), also known as The Man Who Feels No Pain, cast her as Supri opposite Abhimanyu Dassani. The action comedy premiered in the Midnight Madness section at the Toronto International Film Festival. Angrezi Medium (2020) put her beside Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor as Tarika Bansal, the small-town daughter who wants a life abroad. It was Khan’s last film released before his death. Shiddat (2021), with Sunny Kaushal, cast her as Kartika and streamed on Disney+ Hotstar as a high-pitch love story. Later films include a cameo as Supriya in Monica, O My Darling (2022), the title role in Sanaa (2022), Lovely Khobre in Kuttey (2023), gully cricketer Aditi Nath in Kacchey Limbu (2023), the lead in Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video (2023), and Rani opposite Akshay Kumar in Sarfira (2024), the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru. She also made a cameo as herself in Jigra (2024). Subedaar (2026) credits her as Shyama Maurya. Lust Stories 3 (2026) credits her as Sailee. Rumi Ki Sharafat, in which she plays Rumi, has been shot and is not yet released.

Web Series

Ray (2021) on Netflix was her web entry. She played Divya Didi in the Spotlight segment and won the Filmfare OTT Award for best supporting actress in a web original film. The same year she played Avani in the Save The Da(y)te episode of Feels Like Ishq. Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo (2023) cast her as Shanta in a crime drama built around a women-run operation. That role brought an Iconic Gold Award for best actress in a web series and a Filmfare OTT nomination.
