Peeche Se Nahi: Janhvi, Farah, Neetu and Rakhi Are Now Stopping the Back Shot on Camera

The line has left the Weekend Ka Vaar set and landed on the pavement.

On Bigg Boss 20, Salman Khan called out the pap habit of waiting for the hip, the thigh, and the shot from behind. He named the caption that usually rides with it: “Pehchano ye kaun hai.” He said most of the women do not like it. He told them, if it happens, turn and slap. The episode aired on 19 September. By the first week of October, actresses were using his name as a stop sign.

ABP put the clips in one piece on 5 October. The saves were already ahead of the article.

What They Actually Said
Janhvi Kapoor, in a mini dress, arriving for work and about to take the stairs, turned to the cameras and said, “Bas abhi record mat kariye.” Not a smile-and-wave. A cut.

Farah Khan, walking toward a salon, stopped, faced the lens and said, “Salman bhai ne bola na peeche se nahi lene ka.” Then: “Turn karo.”

Neetu Kapoor, heading to her car with the cameras still behind her, asked, “Aapko yeh bada accha lagta hai na, ‘back’?”

Rakhi Sawant, at the airport, caught a camera on her back and repeated the house rule. “Bhai ne mana kiya hai na. Sirf aage se lene ka, peeche se nahi lene ka.”

Nyra Banerjee, asked to pose, went further. “Bhai aake maarenge tum logo ko, aisa mat karo.” Then, almost a joke: “Darne ka yaar, bhai hain woh.”

The Shot They Were Stopping
Salman’s complaint was specific. Camera at the thigh when a woman steps out of a car. Camera at the hip when she gets in. Camera behind her on the walk, then a guessing-game caption. He said he had just watched Neha Dhupia fire at them, and that Saiee Manjrekar looked awkward in the same kind of clip. He also said his own niece gets filmed from behind.

That is the product. A back, a walk, a question mark. The women in these new clips are refusing the angle while the angle is still being recorded. The refusal is now the clip.

Why the Line Travels
Nobody in these videos is in a gown on a step-and-repeat. Janhvi is in a mini dress on stairs. Farah is outside a salon. Neetu is at a car door. Rakhi is at an airport. Ordinary exits. That is the point Salman made, and the point the cameras keep proving: the shot does not need a premiere.

The fight is real. So is the demand. The same videos in which they say stop are the videos being passed around this morning.

The Question
They asked the cameras to turn.

Did you watch for the warning, or for the walk they were trying to end?
